These days IFK Gotheborg are probably no better than us. Granted, they have a few Swedish Internationals but the overall standard of that League is probably no better than League One.

Probably looks better playing for IFK than in League One though if he's concerned about playing for Iceland.

On eurosport.se it says IFK are interested in Johann Berg Gudmundsson but the manager Rehn rated Readings Sigurdsson who he first looked at whilst on loan at Crewe. I think wages could be a problem

Hate to be picky, but he's a product of our academy rather than home grown. The guy was born in Iceland in moved here when he was 14. But I agree, can't see him leaving after signing a new deal with us.
