As he has just signed until 2012 and is a regular starter that will not happen.

If we're playing in League One next season they will surely find it easier to get their man.

Every player has his price..... although he's the best of the bunch of kids, so it'd have to be a high price.

I am happy about this. Shows that we DO have some quality in our squad. Be a big test of the lad's character to see how he handles the speculation.

These days IFK Gotheborg are probably no better than us. Granted, they have a few Swedish Internationals but the overall standard of that League is probably no better than League One.

Probably looks better playing for IFK than in League One though if he's concerned about playing for Iceland.

They've got oxf*rd all chance. Just signed a new contract, very happy here, and if he wants to be playing premiership football any time soon he has a better chance of being spotted playing for us.

A non-starter this one.

Wait a minute, this thread is now 27 minutes old and Spacey has not pulled it up for being on the wrong forum.

Don't tell JM as he'll be wanting to offload Sigurdsson asap now that he is one of our top earners.

Rodgers has to sell before he buy 'his type of player'.

So Sig could be sold to pay for Stock.

Cisse wants to go but how much would we get for him?

On eurosport.se it says IFK are interested in Johann Berg Gudmundsson but the manager Rehn rated Readings Sigurdsson who he first looked at whilst on loan at Crewe. I think wages could be a problem

Actually, Cisse wants to play and he would rather do it here.

The championship must be streets ahead of the Swedish leagues in terms of quality. Gothenburg would be a big step down for him.

Hate to be picky, but he's a product of our academy rather than home grown. The guy was born in Iceland in moved here when he was 14. But I agree, can't see him leaving after signing a new deal with us.
