Yeah, I thought he looked pretty good. In retrospect he might have lacked a little heart for a relegation tussle with little old us, but apart from that I thought he was pretty classy. Quick too.

It's hardly a ringing endorsement and probably even very questionable.

Two young players clearly with a bit of ability but for different reasons never had the chance to really do much here.

I'm not sure your personal assessment on limited evidence should lead me to have any shame !!!

He couldn't get a start in the Celtic defence ahead of Caldwell, McManus nor Loovens.

He couldn't get a start in the Celtic defence ahead of Caldwell, McManus nor Loovens.

Plus he appears to be a ball playing defender who is a bit short of defensive qualities - can't remember the number of times I've heard a report on the radio saying words to the effect: -

"Celtic have conceded...Darren O'Dea mistake" (or words to that effect)

As far as his time with us is concerned, another victim of Rodgers sales pitch.

In terms of how good he looked for us in their respective Reading careers he's miles off of Kelly though. That was the key for me and why I don't think they should be compared, unless you want to compare Brayson with Beardsley that is!

Again I agree. Mills and O'Dea at this level would be very impressive in my view. In that respect Rodgers did well...bizarre he didn't play them very often...but then again he did make our other centre-halves captain and deputy and probably felt he had an allegiance to play them instead. It helped lose him his job.
