Yes, thanks for that. Do you ever offer any insight into what you actually think about a specific subject in a thread or do you just post inane bollocks like you just have?

FWIW, Norwich will be tough to beat next season. By all accounts they have a good team across the park, unlike Leeds who rely on Beckford. Millwall would be tough as well, Kenny Jackett knows how to get a team playing to be hard to beat. Swindon would struggle IMO, Charlton would be midtable at best under Parkinson who seems to be a manager who is good at L1 but struggles at Championship level. Huddersfield could be dark horses next season if they get up, their home record in particular is impressive this year. Away form could be their undoing though.

As for the teams going down, Pompey are f*cked and will do well to stay in this division, let alone be decent. Burnley, if they keep Laws, will also be one of the poorer sides in the league. Hull are also financially f*cked and all their best assets will be sold. They will also struggle particularly if they keep Dowie there, or as has been implied in one of the Sunday redtops today they reappoint Brown.

**Forest on the basis they don't go up this time**
We have a great chance of top 6 minimum if we can keep most of this squad together & find another striker from somewhere. My bet for the title would have to be Forest. They will be the best equipped IMO. All depends on what happens in the summer but you'd fancy QPR, Sheff U, Bristol City, us & one of the promoted teams to have a shout.

Agree with the original poster though - can't see Hull, Burnley or Pompey being remotely close to promotion. Hull are very close to admin aren't they?

I think non of the Premiership trio will be in the play-offs. Norwich will though.

Blackpool for me.

As for the Teams coming down, all the opinions that I think have been said.

Portsmouth- Deep trouble, League 1 for them IMO.
Hull- I don't know too much about their money problems so can't really comment but main players will be sold, play-offs at best.
Burnley- Best equipped of 3 coming down provided they keep players and others don't, Can't see them bouncing back up with Laws though.

As for coming up..

Norwich-All depends if they keep Lambert. They do-Play-offs are reach-able. They Don't-Mid-table, good squad.
Leeds/Millwall- Either of these Mid-table as I think main players will go, like Beckford.
Leeds/Millwall/Swindon/Charlton/Huddersfield;
-Leeds-(as above)
-Millwall-(also as above)
-Swindon-Mid-table at best IMO, will do okay though if they keep Austin and Paynter.
-Charlton- Will do well and threaten play-offs I think, Mid-table at worst.
-Huddersfield- If up, I think could be the surprise package, Good squad + Manager who are doing well with good results of late including 6-0 on saturday. I could be wrong and they could do a Peterboro' who knows!

Forest or Cardiff for me - they'll be the two strongest ones next year, so from a selfish point of view I'd like to get rid of them. Reasons for each - Cardiff because they've always been there or thereabouts, and Forest because they've been the strongest this year (and Cardiff are insecure financially, so if they don't go up it could get interesting).

I can't see next season being an awful lot more successful than this one tbh. With the chairman still (presumably) reluctant to invest and our parachute payments coming to an end, I don't expect many incoming transfers this summer and I wouldn't be in the least bit surprised if the likes of Sigurdsson and Mills are sold before the end of August. I still don't think we have the goalscorers for a successful side; Rasiak has ben poor, as had Long apart from a burst of goals in January and February, Church is hardly an out-and-out goalscorer. Tough work ahead for McDermott.

A bit more consistency would be nice. Not a horrific first half and superb second half. I'd be quite satisfied with 8-14. Obviously I'm hoping we can put in a strong promotion / play-off challenge.

Am a little bit worried this might be the case too. But hope springs eternal.

Looking into my crystal ball, I get the feeling that next season's Championship will be the most open it has ever been.
Two of the prem clubs coming down have some serious financial issues, but they are not alone.
Norwich may have rock solid support, and have momentum, but they are carrying a large debt.
Same for Leeds.
The cold wind of fiscal reality is blowing through boardrooms nationwide, and I doubt very much that we have seen the last of the clubs going into admin.
For this reason, I can see the RFC model being about par for the fiscal course, and I would be surprised to see any club in our league splashing the cash.
This levelling of finances will inevitably mean that next year, the gap between the so called bigger, better supported clubs, and the others will be narrowed, and with this reasoning in mind, I suspect that teams that can grind out results will be towards the top.
QPR, Blackpool, Hull, etc. (think of the managers, not the clubs)
I don't see anything for us to be frightened of, opposition wise.
I'm more concerned about who we will have left from our existing defence, and whether our flair players can sustain the level of decent performance throughout a season.

WoodleyRoyal ... I'm more worried about the teams coming up than the teams coming down, discuss.

Why on earth would you worry? Worry about ourselves, no one else.

Surprised no-one has mentioned Bristol City - they've got God in charge next season and should be a good bet for promotion.

Don't know where you get your info from HH but I've seen Norwich several times this season. Their best players are Grant Holt and Wes Hoolahan who have both played in the championship before and not set the world alight. Hoolahan is inconsistent at championship level and Grant Holt failed at Forest.

But their best player this season has been the keeper Fraser Forster, on a season long loan from Newcastle, where he will return.

Their weakness is in defence where Gary Docherty and Michael 'Cruise ship' Nelson are the centre backs. They will ship goals in the championship with those two as first choice.

Their whole season will depend on whether Grant Holt can score as many goals in the championship. I'm guessing he won't.
