I've gone for an 8.

On this basis our 106 and 8th place Prem finish would both be tens but that old proverb about clouds and silver linings could not be more appropriate than when accessing our fortunes in 2009-10.

The vast majority of fans wanted the same thing from this campaign and most will be extremely relieved that things have panned out so will.

We haven't merely survived a tricky transitional season; we've raked in millions off loading expensive under achievers and their replacements are already performing to a standard that makes us one of the best teams in the division even though this remains a work in progress.

And, to state the obvious, the icing on the cake has been the emergence of Brian McDermott, the catalyst who turned impending disaster into stunning success and is looking more like the golden nugget who can transform RFC forever with every passing day. Neither should we forget those who elected to appoint him amid accusations of taking the cheap option and not giving Brendan Rodgers sufficient time.

They have shown, yet again, just how well run our club is and made idiots of those who persist in slagging them off.

Only since Brian got his feet under the table have I been able to envisage not just a return to the top flight but a route to establishing ourselves there whereas, Steve Coppell's last 2 campaigns seemed to be more about managing an inevitable decline. This is what has made the final third of 2009-10 so exciting for me. I can't wait for next season.

Let's see how he copes with managing expectation.... he hasn't had to do that yet.

That's meeting expectation, not managing it. Different

SpaceCruiser 1 being the shittest, boring and worst ever thread you've witnessed and 10 being the most fantastic and entertaining thread ever in your life.

What do you reckon?

1.

So why don't you go and swallow a sandwich bag wrapped turd? I'm sure you'll enjoy the experience.
It's a bit arrogant to assume everyone shares your taste Spacey. You may have been bought up on it but for most of us our school packed lunches consisted of cheese sarnies and a penguin bar.

2. for the first half, it was just above the Tommy Burns era of division 2 in terms of entertainment.
8. for the second half, the emergence of Kebe and McAnuff was the best wingplay since Little and Convey.

Overall 7/10 as I'm a RTG

ah, was going to do the same thing and rate 1st half a 2 and the second half an 8.

Overall a 6 (I've got to give exra weight to the second half) and I'm expecting an 8 for next.
