Kitson12 Which you did so well to Jimmy Hill's brother the steward!

I shouted 'alright Jim Bowen, calm yourself' which must have annoyed him enough to get his boss up to 'ave a word. Got the final say though by 'accidentally' treading on his foot at half time. Bullseye 8)

Football's brilliant isn't it? It doesn't happen often, but just occasionally it has the ability to conjure up a day of supreme enjoyment, a day of shenanigans that just lends itself to forever living long in the memory. Yesterday was one of those days.

Agree with the comments about this being sweeter than Everton. The hot/sunny weather made it better. Plus Everton was hardly an action-packed match and only one side looked like they could be arsed.

Superb. Just watched Ben's vid full screen with volume up. Mrs H commented: "Ooooo, that's all the atmosphere of an away day in our own home."

I think she might be hankering for a match or two before the end of the season. Plastic.

brendywendy the only way it will beat 05/06 is if we clinch the title on the last day on goal difference with goals from cummings, and mcarthy

Oh I don't know, I reckon beating Swansea 4-3 in the Play Off Final in front of 40,000 Royals fans would possibly do it.

Bit harsh on the ratings there. Zurab was atleast a high 8, and Kebe never stopped running.

I'll bet the STGs are all feeling bit hacked off at the moment. It is such a shame when the team just won't do as they are supposed to - and fail miserably.

"it was better under Waller' - etc etc. What unmitigated twaddle. We are still in the best period in RFC history and it is so by a country mile.

Now I've seen some moronic statements in my time (and I've contributed a fair few myself) but that really sets a new low.

rhroyal Decent enough coverage on BBC last night. I LOLed at the Nottm Forest fan complaining about the lack of backing for the manager.

"Nobody brought in last summer, no signings in January and no use of the loan window."

McDermott can only dream of the sort of financial backing Billy Davies has had.

According to one Forest fan it's all the parachute payment money that won it for us:

A Deluded Forest Fan Reading have taken 25 players with them today (although that is partly down to playing Scunny on Tuesday). But that shows that they have a far bigger squad then us. They have built up their squad over a number of years because they have had parachute payments. We have only really spent big in one summer and we have been paying the price ever since.

Watching the game at the moment. :D

How the ref has given a freekick for our first goal I have no idea. Either it's nothing, and possibly a yellow card for Long, or it's a penalty. So obviously inside the box, typical Long light contact and down he tumbles. A fantastic ball through by Manset.

Hi-ho... we scored anyway.

Loving Long getted booed every time he touches the ball as well.

Reading Player on the OS.

Just finished. Cracking game, end to end and how Forest are doing so badly I have no idea, they've looked pretty good, if quite open, in both games I've seen them in recently.

You could tell we'd gone from 5 in midfield to 4... We were quite open through the middle as well, which made for a hugely entertaining game. That's not to say Legs and Karacan didn't play extremely well. Manset could be a big player for us, but he needs to play a bit more to develop his decision making. He was trying to do a little too much and could do with releasing the ball a bit quicker.

The team spirit is amazing.
