Her's another fatuous reason that peopel can hang hopes onto - Wemebley uses the same "Desso" pitch system as the MadStad, so we'll me more used than Swansea to playing on a pitch where the roots of the blades of grass are strengthend by underground plastic weave.....

I thought I read somewhere that a groundsman from Reading moved to work at Wembley, but looking around I can't find anything about it now, so I don't know if that's true or not.

A fact I mentioned earlier in the thread has not been commented on.....one of the assistant refs is a Mr S Long

There is always the possibility that it wasn't commented on as it was dull.........

I had to speak at a conference this week, at the Reebok Stadium. I don't know whether that's a good or bad omen.

I think that's because it had already been covered in a Match Officials thread, or maybe a thread of its own ?

Ah! But it's an omen!!!!!

Am I the only one who doesn't check every single thread on HNA before posting anything remotely factual?!

One like he scored against Coventry a few years ago would be nice.

AthleticoSpizz good stuff......thought Deano went to Millwall tho'

He was with Brizzle when he tragically died in a car crash in 1990. He left us in 1988 just before the Simod Cup success for Millwall where he started his career but they sold him to City a couple of years later cos it never worked out second time at the Den. He should have stayed at Elm Park. He and big Trevor were magic!

Dean Horrix - gone but not forgotten. Reading legend.

I was driving along Waingels Road in Woodley earlier this evening on my way home. Ahead of me, roughly in the direction of north(ish) London was a rainbow and BBCRB were telling me that Kebe had trained today.

I think this means that Wembley will be graced by the Kebe and that he will score or make many goals.

PS Being an ex Bulmershe pupil I flicked two fingers as I passed VVankers College. It seemed only right and proper.

Saw Sir John driving down the a33 earlier today in a silver bentley. I'm taking that as a good sign.

My new grand daughter arrived this afternoon - this is an omen that she will bring us luck and I didn't have to fret that she would be born tomorrow while I was at the game!

After a few glasses of wine, I am now convinced that we are going to win tomorrow and I am going to cry from final whistle until I go to bed in the early hours
