These by all accounts were the most popular seats, which suggests that actually these fans must have been at the front of the queue for tickets, ergo...they were actually season ticket holders?
Maybe it's a proportion of our ST base who are the ones who spoil the "fun", and to be fair, feel they have a right to complain as they are there through thick an thin?
I was with what you would define as a few day trippers, but they were standing, singing, swearing and bundling when we scored with the best of them.
Think it's a bit of a misnomer that loyalty necessarily = passion (in terms of displaying it in an extroverted way).

That really mattered to some of us. Have never been so ashamed to be a Reading fan. What happened on the pitch was football, it happens. However, what happened in the stands was unforgivable. Getting real fans ejected because they show passion is lower than low. If you don't like shouting and swearing then stay at home.
Oh, and nobody gives a fuck if there are kids present.

I have to say that towards the end of the first half I said to myself
'f*ck it, we are 3-0 down, it's like a morgue and our team need some decent support, if I get thrown out for standing up with my kids and trying to get some chants going, so be it!'
I can remember thinking a similar thing at Brentford prior to Cureton's goal (yes, I was in the seats then due to the age of my kids). I later felt quite chuffed when Richard Wickson came up to me at the Mad Stad and referred to me as the nutter who had helped get the support going again!

Swearing as an exclamation is a key part of football and perfectly natural. It's the foul-mouthed vitriol-filled abuse that's something quite different. (IMH0)

Oh, and yes it does matter that kids and decent folk of an adult age are present because (like it or not) they represent a greater proportion of the fan base and the future of the club than people who think that being offensive and abusive is 'part of the game'. maybe if those 'real fans' had been willing to temper their behaviour they could have stayed in the stadium along with the real fans who didn't need to hear foul and abusive language?
Noteworthy, of course, that player was also ejected (apparently) for the same crime. Seems that the authorities are not on your side at all.

West_Reading Was sat in 129 and encountered no problems with standing everytime we attacked, or for a prolonged period after our second goal. I've virtually lost my voice too as the atmosphere in our block was pretty good.
I also stayed for five to ten minutes after the final whistle, not because I thought it was the last time we'd see Long, Kebe etc in Reading shirts, but to thank the team for a great season in which we've been thoroughly entertained and in particular for a rousing second half performance which epitomised everything we're about and left me proud to be a Royal. We left with our heads held high.

Forbury Lion Perhaps the club and Wembley are at fault for not having a designated family area, one block or two, depending on demand, where bad language is cracked down on and a family friendly atmosphere away from the away fans is promoted along with enforced seating at all times.
They can station a hotdog seller or two, plus mascots nearby for further family fun.
Meanwhile, the rest of us can get on with enjoying football. Those with kids who want to sit with the rest of us should either leave them at home or put up with it.

Were you actually there? If there was to be segregation it would have needed to be a couple of blocks for those who find abusive and aggressive behaviour essential so that the vast majority of families and other 'normal' people could enjoy their day out. The whole of the West End was, essentially, the family area that had been infiltrated by the minority who don't think families should be there at all. Get the message, it is the families who were in the majority yesterday - and a good thing too as most of those kids will want to come again and will become loyal fans over time.
