Silver Fox southbank1871 M-U-R-T-Y I haven't bothered to read all 7 pages too see if this point has already been made, but laugh at Arsenal if you wish (I certainly am) but the parallels between them and us are quite striking.
They're not really though are they?
Seconded, with a pretty gigantic

and

So you don't see the similarity between us and a team that doesn't like to break it's wage structure or pay [relatively speaking] large transfer fee's for players to go straight into their first team?
Nothing in common with a team that favours developing young talent and getting value for money over buying in proven and established 'finished articles' whilst being a bit on the frugal side and looking after it's bottom line and balance sheet?
No parallels with a team that's held onto some of it's stars for as long as possible to try and get the best fee's for them and then been left a little behind the game trying to plug the gaping holes in it's squad as transfer windows draw to a close.
If not, fair enough, but personally I see some common ground in that and the way we've tried to be coy in the transfer and had to do some late business to address a poor start to the season and weaknesses in the squad.
