Got surprisingly good odds on England 1 - 0 France with Rooney good scorer, lady at William Hill admitted that I wouldn't be the only one sucked in by those odds today

Tokyo Sex Whale England Starting XI

Hart
Johnson, Terry, Lescott, Cole,
Milner, Gerrard, Parker, Oxlade-Chamberlain,
Young, Welbeck

Is it really going to be shaped like that? Ox on the right and Young on the left with Wellbeck up on his own?

the team that played France in the opening game 8 years ago was:

David James, Gary Neville, Ledley King, Sol Campbell, Ashley Cole, David Beckham, Frank Lampard, Steven Gerrard, Paul Scholes, Wayne Rooney and Michael Owen

Utterly pisses all over todays line up.

Barthez, Gallas, Thuram, Silvestre, Lizarazu, Pires, Vieira, Makelele, Zidane, Trezeguet, Henry.

Likewise the French team.

Happy with the line up, especially the attacking threat of playing Oxlade-Chamberlain instead of the more reserved Downing. Not sure which sides they'll line up on or how far forward Young will eventually be playing this afternoon. He's been right upfront in the friendlies but, with the French playing 5 in midfield at times he may well drop deeper for this one.

lol @ Carragher being "honest" - basically saying the top players [at Liverpool] thought they were better than Roy

FFS! Another England injury. Ray Clemence is out and will probably be unable to train the goal keepers for the rest of the tournament. It's over!

I fear that we will (typically) hoof away possession and defend deeper the longer the game goes on. 3-1to France.

Adrian Chiles is suching an annoying f^cking pcunt.

I'm going to lump for 2-1 France, with a suprisingly good England performance.

Positive start by England and Ox. Some nice crisp passing and pace to their game.
