Apparently wages are being funded by insisting all fans wanting his shirt have 'Pavel Viktorovich Pogrebnyak' printed in full and are charging 75p per letter instead of the normal £10.

We will also revert to full hoops as it requires that much space it needs to wrap around the front

As long as JM feels this deal can be done within our ethos, then I'm over the moon (if it happens)

How do you actually pronounce his name?

If we don't sign Sigurdsson maybe... "Woah the Pog is on fire"

Avon Royal 8 games. All this fuss over 8 games.

£13m on the back of two good months? Yeah right.

Fingers crossed this is all bollocks.

He was an unknown before those 8 games then was he?

General consensus seems to be Pog, as in Pog.

Think he would be a good addition.

However, if the rumoured 65K is true it would set a precedent and existing members of the squad on 10/15K or so a week might feel a little hard done by. I suspect the truth will be it could be a max of 65K if he scores lots of goals/makes lots of apperances etc.

Sign this bloke and Sigurdsson and we'll make our money back through custom lettering on shirt sales in no time at all.

I trust McDermott, he wouldn't sign him if he thought he's not going to prove useful.

As I thought, a good sign for my tentative song, based around the tune of AC/DC's "The jack"

The club can't win in some people's eyes

Sig - £7m transfer fee and £35k a week and people are happy
Pog - £0 transfer fee and £35k a week (it's not 60) and people are moaning

We need these signings if we actually want to compete

According to Pog's agent, not a done deal at all: http://en.rsport.ru/football/20120619/601779151.html

Russian striker Pavel Pogrebnyak is in talks to join Reading but there is interest from other Premier League clubs, his agent Oleg Artemov told R-Sport on Tuesday.
Pogrebnyak spent the second half of last season on loan at Fulham, where he had held negotiations on a permanent contract.
“We’re not just holding talks with Reading. There are other English clubs,” Artemov said.
“I think that a final decision will be taken in a week’s time.”
Artemov declined to name the other clubs he claimed were competing for Pogrebnyak’s signature.
The 28-year-old joined Fulham on loan in January from German side Stuttgart, where he is out of contract next month.
He made an immediate impression in the English Premier League with five goals in his first three games, eventually scoring six in 12 matches.
He has scored eight times in 33 international appearances for Russia, and most recently represented his country at Euro 2012.
Before joining Stuttgart, he won the Russian Premier League and UEFA Cup with Zenit St. Petersburg while playing alongside Andrei Arshavin, now at Arsenal.
