royalexile There is no lol for the expense made on trains etc. I predict a meltdown from Floyd.

Nothing is more certain. That'll be worth waiting for.

RoyalBlue Sunderland should reimburse all of their travelling costs - it's not like they can't afford to.

Exactly, 150 people won't break the bank will it

very true obviously tickets for the game will still be valid the only problem with that is the game will now be played on a weekday meaning some people who bought tickets wont be able to go and will loose more money.

They shouldn't be allowed to play Fletcher and Johnson for the rematch. It's all a trick!

Seriously though, surely a drainage system >>> Steven Fletcher?

That is disgraceful.

Is it really *that* waterlogged? And didn't they have an inkling earlier in the morning? Everyone will have got there by now. I feel truly sorry for every Reading fan that travelled up there today. Compo sounding upbeat on twitter, not so sure Floyd will feel the same. Didn't coaches leave at something like 6.00am? Hope Sunderland also pay the club's outgoings - flights/hotel etc.

Actually, can't the PL fine Sunderland? That picture didn't give the impression the pitch was waterlogged - and they had over an hour to clear the water off the pitch anyway. Surely it should be a stipulation that clubs have adequate drainage systems in place for their pitches?

Dont moan - it means we can rest all our players now for 3 weeks, get them fit and injury free.....we would have been knackered today after a tough game on Wednesday followed by a long trip up here.

Referee on SSN said there was standing water on the pitch, tried bouncing the ball but it stood still. Nothing wrong with the decision, it was the only sensible thing to do. But agree with the posts on here about Sunderland's draining system. Shouldn't be happening at a prem club surely?

Depends how much rain they've had, drainage systems can only do so much in a set period of time. But it'd better have been one hell of a downpour.

They used to play on near enough any surface up until the late 1980s...What happened?
