John Peel Now it's just boring.

Maybe it is, but that doesn't mean we should rewrite history. I do not expect to see him applauded a la Gylfi, Shane etc.

NEVER FORGIVE OR FORGET

Give me your seat number and I'll pop round and tell you when to make a noise and when to keep quiet.

AthleticoSpizz I always wonder....wouid we take him back?

Yes probably...one day

No. No. I couldn't trust him enough to hang around long enough to complete a project.

Once a traitor, always a traitor.

yet if Pardew came back and led Reading to the FA Cup final and won it he'd then be a hero to the fans.

It's not gonna happen and you know it. No point in making up things like that if it's not going to happen. You can't just sweep history under the carpet, we'll all know that the moment he becomes successful and a big club comes sniffing, he'll be off. Just you watch him dump on Newcastle if he continues to be successful. He has no integrity.

Newcastle boss Alan Pardew: "We are struggling for rhythm this year, and are not playing with the same exuberance as last year and today was a sign of that. We can't rely on spirit all the time.
"No mistake, [Demba Ba's second goal] hit his hand. Shane Ferguson put the ball in a great area, and it hit Demba's head and hit his hand but it's about the delivery of the ball. Reading gave us a going over today, I have no worries about them staying in this division."

A bit of stick in game once we regained the lead as you'd expect, but it was pretty half hearted. Heard nothing before the game.

Thanks. I just read this from Sky's match report:

And each time Reading took the lead, the home support took great delight in warning Newcastle fans: "Eight years for Pardew? You're having a laugh".

Just seems like harmless banter, like you were saying. Quite funny really.

He said himself before that he gets a bit of flack from the fans, but he doesn't mind it.

In fairness, he's been pretty dignified when he's come back and always talks highly of us. He set us in motion for God to get us promoted and we've had revenge several times, water under the bridge by now as far as I'm concerned

He may have been dignified, but has he ever shown any remorse for his disgusting actions? I don't think so.

Never forget, never forgive.

He said this after the game - probably the closest thing we'll get to an apology -

'Brian was a big part of what I did here, and yes I'm proud of what I did. I’m not so proud of how I ended it but I was proud of what I did. The club has gone on from there, because they've got great people here.'

Jeez, at the time, he went to a bigger club for a lot more money, a decision that 99% of people would make in the same circumstances, Premiership clause or no Premiership clause. Why put that clause in if you don't think a bigger club is going to try to sign him and he was going to move on to bigger things eventually. His legacy is instilling a never say die, all for one and one for all attitude which has served us pretty well in the last decade.

Yes, the pantamime villain stuff gives an edge to the games against his teams but he has always taken it with good humour and good grace and he doesn't bite, which makes the muppets who still give him the grief after 10 years look like the ones lacking in any class, not him. Shit, do you bitch when the MD of your favourite supermarket gets headhunted by someone else?

Once again yesterday, he was very honest, respectful, complementary and dignified.
