It's pretty simple. The FA found Terry guilty on a 'balance of probabilities' - i.e. John Terry is probably a racist jizwaste. The FA know Suarez's crime is 100% - i.e. Suarez is definately a racist jizwaste.

Hence bigger charge.

That's something they can only keep secret for a finite time. Shirley keeping it quiet now will just stir up more attention before the next game than announcing it now would.

Di Matteo has a press conference later; expect this issue to be the first question.

Can John Terry just f/ck off and die? Preferably in a terrorist-driven plane crash into a disabled parking bay.

So bored of hearing his stupid little name and seeing his lipless seagull face.

:)

Di Matteo refused to answer the questions directly when asked by the reporters; would only say that disciplinary issues were confidential and that the reporter would have to wait and see if Terry was to be the Captain against Shakter Donetsk.

What's the betting that his club punishment is to be stripped of the Captaincy for the next 8 League matches?

It appears that the Chelsea club policy not to discuss internal disciplinary issues doesn't extend to Bruce Buck and other senior officials; Buck has confirmed that Terry is to stay as Captain, although he has been given a "record" fine by the club - which, as PFA rules are pretty clear - is the equivilent of 2 weeks wages.

I wonder if the player involved had been a youth team player would Chelsea have dished out the same punishment?

You probably no the answer to that already, but Jacob Mellis was soon on his way out of the club after the smoke bomb incident.

I think they're allowed to break the two week fine limit for extraordinary cases so it may well be he's been done for more. I'd assume that your right and it's just two weeks wages which, considering his contract, would no doubt be a record monetary fine. When it's just two weeks wages though it doesn't really matter how much the number is does it, it's all relative.

By youth team player, you presumably mean "air rifle target for senior players"?

He needn't worry, there's a team of medical staff waiting for his arrival at the hospital.
