Everyone's got awfully optimistic suddenly, haven't they. Even my dad, who's only ever been to one football match (Notts County at home, 1-0, lovely Ian Richardson OG) and doesn't really care, decided last night that we're going to win the next two, and move towards being a comfortable mid-table team.

I'm not sure I'd be happy with 4 from those four. But I think we could afford to lose one without a lot of hurt providing we win one of the others. So I'm looking for a minimum of 5 points. Anything above a point against Utd and Arsenal and I could probably settle for a win and two loses or all four draws.

Points from the top teams aren't as important as points off the bottom teams, because any points we win from the strugglers, they can't have themselves.

Obviously people are expecting to lose against those two. And I will be disappointed with WD versus Wigan and Villa and losing to both Sunderland and Saints. Or otehr similar combinations or drawing with all four.

Four points would be outstanding but I'd honestly be happy with two, just to stop the teams we're playing picking up maximums at our expense.

A point away from home anywhere in the league should be considered a good result in my opinion.

in those matcches i bet we could fairly easily pull 3 wins and a draw or 3 wins and a loss. or at very very worst 2 wins a draw and a loss.

I think that the Villa game will be the toughest. I can see us getting:

Wigan - Win
Villa - Lose
Sunderland - Draw
Southampton - Win

And I would be very happy with that

7 points from them would put us on track for over 40 points.
