Magic Hat Getting in the car briefly heard Dellor saying that Le Fondre was screaming "I should have started" in the dressing room. He's clearly not happy playing as a sub, should the club consider selling him in January and getting someone better suited to the system in?

are you sure he wasnt saying that dellor thought he was probably screaming etc

not dellor heard him screaming

He was saying this going up the stairs to the Players lounge running away from Dellor - not in the dressing room

Didn't he rush past Dellor with McCleary?

If so:

GM: 'Did you see that pratt Dellor trying to get an interview as we came out?'
ALF : 'Yeah, I should have farted, I said, 'I should have farted''.

However, Dellor did seem convinced he was shouting 'I should have started', in which case no, ALF you should not have started. Had you done so, we would have lost rather than won. Stick to what you are best at in this current style/setup and perhaps just ask Hammo for an increased goal bonus.

Possibly my favourite bit of the game was Morrison then Pearce making marauding runs through the middle in the second half. More lolsworthy stuff like that please.

Drenthe - one or two fantastic bits of skill. Still needs to learn to toughen up, and not go down so easily, but is improving

Easy to see why he was kept on. Despite him being knackered, Leeds still felt the need to keep two defenders close to him, which created more space/openings for other players.

Also capable of producing a piece of pure magic at any time. There was that delightful chipped pass over a defender's head and into the area, after he had cut in from the left towards the byeline, which ALF (IIRC) came very close to capitalising on.

Then, of course, there was the well placed and perfectly weighted free kick that led to the goal.

Irvinchangeyaname We've enjoyed a lot of late goals in recent years but that has to be my favourite.

3000 Leeds fans singing 'time to go' just one minute earlier followed by 300 singing it right back at them as they resorted to the standard outside / throat-cutting gestures!

says it all really only 300 singing it back at home

I think the abuse that Blackman got is very unfair. He might not be the greatest but he tries hard and that is worth a lot in my book and he might yet get better. Anyone booing him off is a disgrace.

However, I have to say that I do find it odd that he starts on the right over McCleary - who does look to have a fair bit more about him.

That Reading only have 300 mongs compared to Leeds' 3000?

Drenthe's been a real disappointment for me - McCleary looked more dangerous in his spell than Drenthe did all game.

Just slows it down all the time, stands there with his foot on the ball like he's Pele then falls over.

Disagree - think Drenthe is class; although I'm sure there's more to come. I hazard a guess that the Drenthe haters are the same people as previously the Kebe haters and vice versa. The chip pass by him was amazing class - and it was not ALF but Williams who wasted it. I think if it had been to ALF he'd have put it away.

Drenthe hasn't got himself sorted out yet, but has shown some skillz. Work in progress, never expected him to be an instant star.

'Greed, and although he does some amazing things I'd like to see him doing the simple things a bit more effectively as well, though.

There are/were, obviously, some game fitness issues with Drenthe. He made it through all 90+ minutes on Wednesday and was an instrumental part of the goal that won it at the end. He is constantly being covered by 2-3 opposition players. As he becomes fully game fit and, hopefully, others pick-up the game as the season wears on he will not see the attention he is being given right now and will become that much more of a threat. It is early yet, let's not jump to conclusions, about anything, based on a handful of games...

TBF, though. whilst he "made it through all 90+ minutes on Wednesday" I think he did look knackered before the end. We had more players playing with knocks than available substitutes, though. I can't wait until he is fit enough to last right to the end.

That's not true though. He was saying it to Dellor when he was asking him for an interview, probably with a smile on his face, not 'screaming it in the dressing room'.

Good spin though.

He was halfway through when I got in the car didn't catch the whole thing. I thought he said screaming.

I was supportive of Kebe long before it became fashionable.

And I don't hate him, just think he's been poor the last three games.

What I heard was that ALF and another player (McCleary, I think, but not 100% sure) went past Dellor in the mixed zone and wouldn't be interviewed, but as they got to the end of the corridor the other player yelled at Dellor "He says he should have started".

I find that scenario quite believable - ALF says to the other player what he's really thinking, and the other player drops him in it for a laugh.

Why are you so concerned about whether people that you don't know watch all of an event that they've paid for, or only some of it? It's their prerogative.

If I decided that I wasn't enjoying a football match and left at half time would that make me a 'T0553R'"? If I decide that I don't particularly enjoy watching Reading anymore and don't want to attend games at all would that make me a 'T0553R'? How do any of the scenarios affect you?
