Not at all soggs, but people are saying we need a defensive midfielder, we have one ready to drop into place in Ledge. We need a proper left back, we have one ready to drop into place in Bridge. And according to yesterday's interview with NA, we're expecting them both back at the end of Jan/early Feb.

I reckon we need to loan in a few players for a few months until we get one or two of our injured players back, combine that with maybe only one or two other additions and we'll have a pretty strong looking squad again.

So in summary we are selling McCarthy, HRK and ALF. We are not keeping Baird or Sharp and we are buying no one because the owner is lost in Siberia.

It could be the best transfer window ever.

How about buying a better DM than Leigertwood, or a better LB than Bridge?

Are we really likely to get a sanction on any spending considering the ambivalence of the current owner? Who's going to sign off on anything beyond a previously agreed loan (if any)? Can't see Madejski having enough clout to do so...

bobby1413 We need to deal with the queues in the concourse at half time before anything else. I'm fed up of having to miss the last 5 minutes of each half just to get my half-time beer.

If he sorts this out then I'll get 'Nigel Adkins' tattoed on my dick and windmill in Primark...

Instead of relying on new investors, perhaps we could dip into that 90m we earned with promotion or 60m we earned getting relegated?

Oh, and like I said on another thread - I've not seen a worse Reading team in a long time. There is no spine in this side and the pockets of quality are spread out and isolated.

Must bring in a decent CB, a ball-winning CDM and a CAM if we want that spine needed to challenge, and finish that off with some proper fullbacks.

As we are, we are an appallingly weak side and I'm surprised we are where we are in the table.

Personally, I can't disagree with that. I thought we'd be floating around the play-offs but not really pulling up any trees...but I didn't think we'd actually be this bad on the pitch.
