Two more points dropped by Leicester tonight. Record is looking safe.

I wouldn't go that far. Brentford show no sign of slowing down. They're head and shoulders better than the rest of league one.

It's not safe RG, but I'd be very surprised to see a team get close.

Brentford will need to go 14-0-2 or 13-2-1 to beat it. That's better than what they've done in their last 16. Don't panic!

Brentford v Wolves on Sat.

I promise you that when one or both of Wolves & Orient start falling away and Brentford get closer to confirming auto promotion and the title, their results will drift as they'll relax having achieved their goal.

Corrected:

Championship
Leicester (113)

Leagie Een
Wolves (112)
Brentford (111)
Leyton O (106)

Leicester have games v Charlton, Barnsley, Blackpool & Yeovil coming up, could still be on 113 in a few games time. Much tougher after that.

Tony Le Mesmer Have to admit im slightly concerened about Wolves, think they will at least threaten the 106 this season. They have a squad clearly too good for L1 and prooving it so far.

Still got a feeling they will run it close. Definitely the main threat, not too worried about Leics, they have tough games around the time they should have clinched promotion.

106 points - is our record in danger from Leicester?

by Man Friday » 14 Mar 2014 19:48

Discuss. By my reckoning they need 31 points from 36. Can they do it?

They need to lose at least 2 of their remaining 12.

They still have Burnley away to play so one can hope that's a loss or at least a draw.

And us away, which I'd like to think would be a tough game.

But other than that I can't see them dropping points. Just hope for the best really.

That record's the only reasonably noteable thing in our history

They need 30 out of 36 to beat it or 29 to tie. Basically 10 wins out of 12 - they've done 8 in the last 10 so they must be looking good for it. They have us, QPR, Burnley and Wigan to play so not too bad a run in. It'll be close.

No.

They are behind the average points per game needed and will have to maintain a fantastic run of form to make 106 let alone beat it. That just goes to show how good our record is, just like our 13 straight wins from the start of the season. Each time a team starts the season with a good run, people start talking about our record being in danger but inevitably those teams lose quite some time before they get close to equalling, let alone breaking the record.

Furthermore, we still have a chance ourselves to make it that bit more difficult for Leicester to break our record. The Leicester wobble will come!

They certainly could do it. Will they though? Hope not.

I know it's not the end of the world if they beat it, but it is great owning that record.

I will be celebrating their losses and draws as if we have won. But for now, squeaky bum time.

At least if they do beat the record we won't be hearing that crappy 106 song anymore.

Chanting that your club has gained more points in one season than anyone in the history of the Football League? That's the only decent chant that we've got!

Thats a tough run for Leicester, especially if they've already got promoted with 5 games or so to go:

Burnley V Leicester
Wigan V Leicester
Leicester V Sheff Wed
Leicester V Brighton
Reading V Leicester
Leicester V QPR
Bolton V Leicester
Huddersfield V Leicester

all eyes on Wolves

Leicester now need 27 points from 33!!!

9 wins, 2 losses or 8 wins, 3 draws.

Basically, we need them to lose one pretty darn soon.
