Gutted, turned off at 1-0 as I couldn't see Palace doing much as they didn't need to. Absolutely brilliant result for football as we'd never heard the last from the bin dippers..
Gerrard "This does not oxf*rd slip now"

Sanguine What a mental game!
As sandman said it's not (quite) over yet - QPR nearly won at the Etihad on that manic final day two seasons ago. But as Neville and Carragher said after the game, this sort of thing was only a matter of time given the weakness in Liverpool's defence. A shame - I (genuinely, Liverpool-fan aside) think it would have been a good story for the English game, a once great club improving from 7th with pretty much the same team to win the league the next season. But also have to agree with sandman that there isn't much to h8 about the way City play the game or the way the team conducts themselves, and they will be worthy winners.

weybridgewanderer Now that was the Brendan I remember at reading. Winning with 20 minutes to go and snatching lots of draws and a few defeats from the clasp of victory

Royalclapper Would've thought attentions will soon be turning to whether Suarez is going to be hunted down by Real Madrid and how big the budget is for new signings. Heard that Lovren from Saints was a target not sure how true it is though, Rodgers will certainly need to do something with that defence if Liverpool are to progress further.

TBM Come on City
bobby1413 Absolutely no idea why there is such hatred towards Liverpool.

but there seemed little point winning 3-1 or 3-2 as it would still mean City having to lose one of their last 2 games for Liverpool to win the title and we all know that they won't lose .

The same thought went through my mind. He is still tactically naive and shows that he has much to learn. As for blaming his players, he could easily have changed things when Palace scored either their first or second. Instead, he sticks on an attacking player instead of being content with the win.

As I've said before on this thread, Rodgers has tactically obliterated almost every manager in the league season.
