Real Madrid have played in over a quarter of all European Cup and Champions League finals in history

Yep - the usual suspects silent of course although I’m sure they’ll return at some point

Never said it was a meaningless competition. Its a great achievement for Roma but lets not forget, Roma are the Italian equivalent of Everton, the occasional title back in the day and a Cup win every 15 years or so. 10 years ago, Mourinho would have considered managing a club like that as beneath him.

Not so sure that is true after Spurs, I think he was looking for a club that would suit him and his personality rather than the biggest club out there. The experience humbled him a bit which in truth is what he needed.
The Spurs job was such an awful fit for him so why not go to a failing club like Roma and have a bit of control and influence at all levels? Like you say, Roma don't really win too much and in one season he has managed to win a European trophy and finished in a respectable league position so all in all it has been a great move for both parties. Not sure they have a lot of money so I wouldn't expect them to push on too much more but I think his reputation is pretty much restored now.

I'd suggest he's content at Roma because he feels he's bigger than the club.

Prety sure if you asked Roma a year ago if they would accept two decent seasons and a trophy followed by a poor season they'd have bitten your hand off.
I think Mourinho's next managerial move should be to take over the Portuagal national side. I think he would do really well due to the lack of time he would be spending with the players.

People wouldn’t like it but I’ve no doubt he’d win a major tournament with England
