Royals and Racers Ascot are in the FA Vase semi-finals.
1-1 at FT- Ascot won 4-3 on pens

Brilliant. Ascot at Wembley perhaps, would be nice to see the place get on the map for something other than horses!

The holders as well Newport Pagnell also after a penalty shoot- out.

Bracknell win again, but only 241 there to see it, following on from a paltry 157 for their game v Salisbury in the week. Crowds 25% down for the season.

Maybe 'fair weather fans' in the very literal sense.

It's not difficult to see why, playing out of town in a tidy but very basic ground, they struggle to attract fans, but losing so many is a bit strange, especially as their form is very good now.

They need to get back to Brackers ASAP (Easier said then done I know)
Getting to Sandhurst from Bracknell by public transport is a mission despite its short distance.
Fickle train to Wokingham from Bracknell- Change to get the Gatwick line to Sandhurst and a good walk from the station.

I know you could drive but you wouldn't be able to have a few swift ones

Not sure i would describe it as very basic- they have a bar and a catering outlet(serves beer as well) new seating/standing stand. Decent floodlights as well.

Yes, certainly a step up on the awful cramped site at Larges Lane.

I think when/if they can come back to Bracknell you'll see a big increase.

You would think/hope so, but I've not even heard any rumours about potential sites. Any move back is going to be years away. The risk will always be that the owner gets bored of subsidising the club and stops doing so.

In non-league, bankrolled clubs, and clubs moving out of their town, are seldom stories that end well.

I strongly believe the owner has every intention of moving the club back, but the 'going tits up' potential must be fairly high.

I'm sure I read that they haven't even sold Larges Lane yet, although most of it has been dug up.

Tadley Calleva’s abandonment seems to have been for a medical emergency- looks as if the Sheerwater player is now ok.

Bit of a distant memory but I seem to recall, falsely or otherwise, that he wasn’t subsidising the club, it was in funds due to the property deals he had done on Larges Lane being in the club’s name?

A good friends son plays for Sheerwater, heard all about it yesterday. Tadley Calleva's medical staff were excellent by all accounts,

I see Windsor FC might be subject to a takeover.

https://twitter.com/windsorfc/status/16 ... 8V-_A&s=19

I hope the club comes out of the current no ambition, no hope and no crowds era. There's nothing to inspire me to bother making the trip to watch them and hasn't for quite some time.

For a town as well off as Windsor to have a club just wither away (twice) so is sad.

Always thought this. There is 100% a potential non-league giant of a club there, just needs the right ownership and plan.

Sheerwater were interestingly down to 8 players at the time and losing convincingly.

What is it you are accusing the player of here exactly?

Seriously - sort yourself out.

Let me break this down for you.

Sheerwater had 8 players.
They were losing.

Medical emergency and dealt with.

I am not accusing you are insinuating. Seriously wind your neck in.

Basingstoke and Walton continue to trade blows. That is going to be some game in a couple of weeks if this continues. I do feel Basingstoke are hanging on a bit, and if anyone is to crack it will be them, but hope i am very much wrong.

TBF Paul, it was a totally irrelevant point given the nature of the previous message and the way it was worded definitely made it seem like you were suggesting something underhand at play - even if you didn't mean that, that's how it I read it initially, as I'm sure many others did too.
