Saturday 15th AprilNAT
Aldershot Town 2-1	Scunthorpe United
 – Sh!ts get a welcome 3 points against already relegated ‘Scunny’ winner on 82’
– still only 2 points clear of Torquay – who overcame York 3-2 Boreham Wood 1-0	Wealdstone
Chesterfield	3-2	Eastleigh –
’Spireites’ leap over Woking – beaten at ‘County’ - to 3rd and also have a big say in the relegation battle as they host Torquay this Tuesday.
- 2nd & 3rd then wait to host who comes thru the ‘Q-F’ POs (4th - 7th)
- currently line up : Woking v Bromley and Barnet v Boreham Wd - though Eastleigh and ‘Sarfend’ are realistically still in touch and could muscle their way in. Below that D&R, Solihull and Wealdstone probably have too much to do in their remaining games to catch Bromley.
- Woking would obviously prefer to get back 3rd to play a game less but are now 2 points behind Chesterfield. ‘Cards’ remaining games are Trophy Finalists and in-form Gateshead(H) , FC Halifax(H) and then a trip to Solihull.
Chesterfield’s other games are at home to relegated Maidstone, after travelling to Bromley.Dorking Wanderers	3-2	Altrincham
- ‘Wanderers’ 2 down inside 10 mins but fought back to get a welcome 3 points and probably make them safe – 6 points clear of the last relegation -placeNotts County	3-0
Woking Oldham Athletic	1-0
Maidenhead United - ‘Magpies’ now 5 games without a win still face a nervous couple of weeks
- they only have 2 games left to keep clear of the drop, should Torquay & Aldersh!t manage to overhaul them. Their last two games don’t provide much optimism either – home v PO chasing Barnet, then a long-trip to in form Gateshead. One bright spark there is that ‘The Heed’ may have taken their foot of the gas - were thumped 3-0 at home by Bromley yesterday and may have one eye on Wembley?
- Wrexham were held 0-0 at Barnet - still top by 1 point with a game in hand over County – host seemingly doomed Yeovil on Tuesday nightNATN
Brackley Town	3-0	Darlington
Bradford (Park Avenue)	1-0
Banbury United - ‘Puritans’ probably need a point from 3 games for safety – their GD is better than Blyth who could mathematically still catch them but there are also three other sides between them and the drop zone.NATS
Chelmsford City 5-1
Hungerford Town - ‘Crusaders’ all but gone now having lost 4 in the last 5. They have 4 games left but are 10 points behind the safety line. Looks very much like Cheshunt and Weymouth will drop to STEP03 with them and Concord. Dover Athletic	1-5
Oxford City Slough Town	2-0
Farnborough – ‘boro falling further away from PO contention now – ‘Rebels’ looking safe enough with a 10 point gap back to the relegation places.SLP-C
Hednesford Town	1-0
Kings Langley - KL relegated – most likely to SL1-C : other three down are Bedford Town, Hednesford and AFC R&D.
- promotion tussle still very tight here – top three only separated by 1 point, with Tamworth re-taking top spot from Coalville who were surprisingly beaten at Stratford.
Leiston are 3rd having played a game more, beaten by the new leaders in front of over 1,200SLP-S
Beaconsfield Town	3-3	North Leigh
 – ‘Nor Lye’ see victory snatched away on 88’ Bracknell Town	3-1	Gosport Borough
att 317 – goals from Sanders (pen) Dean and Abisogun late on.Chesham United	3-1	Salisbury
 - att 604 – confirms ‘Generals’ will be in the POsDorchester Town	3-2	Hendon
Hartley Wintney	1-2	Tiverton Town
 – att 339 HW let a H/T lead slip away Hayes & Yeading United 2-1	Plymouth Parkway
Poole Town	1-0	Harrow Borough
Truro City	2-0	Metropolitan Police
Weston-super-Mare	1-0	Merthyr Town
W-s-M left it late 84’ in front of 1,265 Winchester City	0-3	Hanwell Town
Yate Town	1-2	Swindon Supermarine
late goal relegates Yate but Poole’s win, which also puts Harrow down, means SS can’t get a PO spot now barring a swing of a dozen goals.
- so Hartley, Harrow and Yate (possibly) ‘confrimed’ as down – ‘Nor Lye’ have to hope Hendon lose all (2 or 3?) remaining games and they win both of theirs (A) v Plymouth P’way and (H) v Truro ! – so very unlikely – but they’ve had a decent last third of the season.
NOTE i) something amiss here though: Hendon only listed as having 2 fixtures left ( vs W-s-M and Poole) but all tables show 3 remaining – their own site shows the game pending A vs Gosport – was abandoned on 1st April??
Not sure where North Leigh would be allocated at STEP04 for 23-24 as geographically, they are in a fairly awkward ‘mid-zone’. Very probably back to the SL1-C or their travelling expenses could be a restrictive factor to them climbing back up again?
NOTE ii) also rumours this week that up to THREE sides have asked for demotion anyway – presumably on grading or financial grounds – two of these thought to be North Leigh and Winchester (!?)
- at the top end W-s-M stay 5 points clear of ‘Robins’ who travel to Truro (Plymouth) on Monday night – their hosts are 4 points behind on the same number of games.
- Weston host struggling Hendon the following evening. Truro play again at home to Salisbury on Wednesday. Bracknell ‘finish off’ the midweek games at Met Police on Thursday. SL1-C
