From Despair To Where? That's an absolutely top draw for Cray Valley Paper Mills.

Tbf, I think playing Milton Keynes away would've been better from a fans point of view. On paper, we should get through that tie at least.
There's seven non-league teams guaranteed to be in the second round - two guaranteed to be from the National League regional leagues or lower. If we do get through, we could still get an interesting FA Cup draw this season...

Trouble is Reading have to give half the gate money to the franchise. Still at least it's not away from home so they might have a chance of winning.
The cameras will opt for Chesterfield, Billericay or Sheppey and Charlton.

Sanguine Stat attack fwiw, with the lowest ranked sides this year into the first round being from the eighth tier, like Cray Valley Paper Mills - only two teams, Chasetown in 2007/08, and Marine in 2020/21, from that level of the pyramid have ever reached the third round of the FA Cup. Marine's tie with Spurs infamously played behind not very closed doors during covid, as fans stood in their back gardens to watch over tiny, or non-existent, stands.
Second season in a row that Bracknell have made the first round, which is some going for a seventh tier side.

NathStPaul Exciting draw for Bracknell though. Shame it wasn't a home draw though.
