Yeah Oviedo were going up with a draw as they finished higher in the league. A goal to win it in extra time made sure of it though.

looks like Tsedenbalyn Tümenjargal leaving them at the end of last season had more of an impact than we all thought!

One would presume that if this idiot farce of an idea goes ahead that at least the return fixture would also be played in Australia so that the IFA have the best opportunity to convince themselves that there is still some semblance of integrity to their domestic league.

Boavista, who were relegated from the Portuguese top division last season, failed to register themselves on time to play in the 2nd tier, though they claim the Portuguese authorities essentially blocked that from happening due to ongoing insolvency proceedings, were then told the best they could have would be playing in the 3rd tier, but would need to submit tax and social security documents to the Portuguese FA as part of them registering for that, which they failed to do, so had a hearing last week where they were told they were now blocked from registering to play in the top 4 divisions, but were given a 3 day window in which to appeal, which passed on Monday without them appealing, so now they are expected to apply to play in the 5th tier which is a local amateur league in the city of Porto

Authorities also raided their stadium and training facilities this week, having to smash their way into the ground as staff refused to let them in, as part of a multi million Euro investigation into tax fraud and money laundering. Homes of club figures were also raided and in total 6 people were arrested.
