Loving that we're building the squad with young hungry players who seem to have bags of potential!! My only slight concern would be getting these new guys to gel together ready for what is a pretty tough set of fixtures over the first month and a bit!!
The midfield should be fine with no new faces but the defense will take time to come together.
I hope that the new owners give Hunt and his team plenty of time to make this work. I feel a slow start may be on the cards with a second half of the season bounce back.
Whatever happens we have a team to support, The Future's So Bright, I Gotta Wear Shades :D :D :D

Royalwaster I think we need a winger with some pace and skills to give us a different option. I personally don't think Meite is the answer.

This is my sentiment too. Whilst I'd be ok with Meite returning and he'd be a very good player in league one I'd like to see someone who's got growth in them still. Meite is probably past his peak now. Also imagine he'll want big wages. He's a good man to have around though so I can understand it if we offer him a deal.

Looks like Scott Marshall could be back at Reading as Noel’s assistant manager.

Interesting. Is there a list of total approx wages per club as well? Would imagine we'd be in a similar spot.

Luton likely to be the new Birmingham this season unless things go badly Oxford for them!

Considering they still have parachute payments, they'd really have to oxf*rd it up to not at least be in the top 6.

WTF is going on with Kelvin? Still not signed but no sign he's going anywhere else either.

I'd imagine his agent is trying some trickery or something like that. I don't get the impression people are knocking his door down, and I think his development will be better here than elsewhere.

Nice interview with Hunt on the official. Comes over very well

Hoping Kelvin E signs up this week. Hoping to bring another 4/5/6 in to the squad - wasn’t completely clear if Kelv was one of those

Maybe his agent is the same as his brother's who told him he was too good for us when we were in the championship

He needs to knuckle down. Out of our squad, definitely Elliott and perhaps Savage have a higher ceiling than him, but he's near the top in terms of potential. But he doesn't show it anything like enough. If he thinks he can get a better offer, he should look back at his record over the past 2 years.

Rubens managed it last season, Everyone in it together and everyone suffering together.... Maybe Noel should ask the new owners to not pay them on time and rob them of their dinners for the sake of team bonding?

I think we all know there aren't enough goals in this squad yet. Only one senior front man. Needs another 20 goal a season forward.

I realise they are the most difficult type of player to recruit, but without another one, we are never going to score enough goals. Can't rely on Knibbs, O'Mahoney and Wing to stay fit and bang 'em in all season.
