Up to 16th, in touch with the frontrunners. Home to Burnley next, easy three points.

Out-muscling is one thing but a 2 hands shove in the back of a ‘keeper would always be given as a foul surely?

You’d like to think so but under VAR nothing is real and there’s plenty to get hung about.

Was talking to a ref on Friday, apparently it's a thing not to peanlise shoves. You see it plain as day with no fk up and down the leagues every week.

They were saying in the commentary yesterday that refs had been told to crack down on holding, pushing & shoving etc. in the penalty area and players had also been advised it’s not a smart idea to carry on.

Conflicting, lovely.

They have also been told that to ignore it where both players are holding / pushing etc... which is particularly braindead. Hey, the guy is holding and pushing you, don't try to protect yourself if you do we definitely won't give anything and if you don't we might but probably won't.

I saw some commentary yesterday that suggested that Bruno missed the penalty because the ref accidentally brushed past him and it destroyed his concentration.

I don't believe that for one moment because if the ref had brushed past him, he'd have thrown himself the the ground, clutching his ankle.
