Whore Jackie
Steve_Upper_West So... will Exeter (A) Oct 11th, be the next to be re-arranged ?

Bound to be, plus:

Sat 15 Nov Wigan (A)
Sat 28 Mar Wigan (H)

I thought SKY had to nominate all the games they were going to move for TV, in the first half of the season, by the end of August?

Not a SKY thing, they're the International break weekends for the rest of the season.

Stevenage (h), Blackpool (a) and Luton (h) are, as far as I can see, our televised league games this calendar year.

Noticed only four League One games were postponed due to international call ups, when in previous seasons there's hardly been any matches surviving the international break. Wonder if that means we'll have less matches moved this season.

Not saying yes or no at this point, as it's worth noting that we didn't have grounds to postpone yesterday, and nor did Exeter, whose game went ahead as normal.

Neither did Wigan for that matter.

We did have a 3rd player called up in the end so could have postponed the game if we wanted to. Rushesha was called up late.

Ah OK, thanks, I didn't know that.

Northampton Town (H) rescheduled for Tuesday, 21st October, 8pm KO.

Sooner the club does away with these 8pm KO's the better, waste of time for a ground that won't have more than 7k in it.

Seems unlikely it will ever happen. There will always be some games where it's likely to be necessary and the last thing they're going to want to do is vary it game by game

Remember the days of getting into Reading to Elm Park for 7.30 kick offs (as was the thing across all clubs back in the 1970s/1980s) . Never really had any issues with traffic, you got to know what and where the dodgy bits were and managed your time accordingly.

Having the ground not in the middle of Reading made things easier IMO yet they still pushed kick offs back to 8pm.

If fans can turn up for 7pm then the nowadays standard of 7.45pm should be fine for all.

Is it a planning restriction on league games (noting that the Wimbledon league cup game was a 7pm KO)? If so, it might be more trouble than its worth to have removed.

Either way, I'm fine with an 8pm game. Bit of extra time for pre-match beers.

Also happy with 8pm KOs as I travel from Surrey, gives me enough time after work to grab something to eat.

I wasn’t born in the 70s and my first game was 95, so not really. :P

Wasn’t our attendance then about 5k?

Seem to recall hearing the early games at the Mad Stad were scheduled for 19:45, but often were delayed to 20:00 due to crowd congestion. This would have been before the A33 was completed, but the 20:00 kick-off time simply stuck.
