Wycombe sack Dodds, Lee Johnson is the early favourite to replace him.

Burton beat Cardiff away tonight, whilst Blackpool drew 2-2 with Luton. Both have now played the same number of matches as us and are both a point behind now.

Well, we almost dropped to 20th tonight but Rotherham were kind enough to throw away a 2-0 lead against the league leaders.

Snowflake Royal It gets stupider each season

He has been there for 9 months.
During that time Luton have been relegated to our division and this season his record is 6 wins and 6 losses out of 13 games, 5 wins and 5 losses in the league.

Luton no doubt had an aim of immediate promotion having fallen so far and so quickly therefore it is no great surprise that they are cutting their losses and hope that a new man (presumably they already have somebody lined up ) will get their squad performing better.
Also I guess they may have made it clear to the manager that they aren't in it for a slow rebuild and that promotion was paramount.
Perhaps they should have stuck with Rob Edwards who is doing rather well at Middlesboro.

Their fall has been quite dramatic so it is almost understandable that their owners have got a bit twitchy as no doubt they felt that the players are good enough for promotion.
If they are right about the quality of players then the decision makes sense, but if the players are like ours and not very good then maybe they should be looking closer at the recruitment policy as well, just as we should.

BTW, just taking a look at their squad in their striking positions they have Adebayo, Nakhi Wells, Jacob Brown and Jerry Yates plus others whereas we have one proper striker in our whole squad plus one other supposed and inexperienced striker so at least in the striking department they should be doing better than they or we are.

About time Selles got another job.

So, either give him the heave ho at the end of last season, or give him a proper go this season.

I wonder what the season long stats look like for manager sackings? I'd expect the week before an International Break is quite a common time to let someone go (for example, Bruce and Bloomfield in the past few days) as it potentially gives whoever comes in more time with the squad (assuming their weekend game is cancelled - Luton is, Blackpool isn't)

That is far too logical for a professional sport where the owners often have no patience.

The one piece of work I have seen is that they took teams that decided to sack their managers after runs of poor results, and constructed pairs of teams - as near as possible records except different decision on the manager.
Yeah, almost no difference.
