Snowflake Royal That goal gets worse and worse on rewatch.

Kyerewaa running at 3 and losing it.
Ahmed not reacting to the loose ball, easily beaten.
Wing fails to cover properly and pushed off too easily, has to just foul.
Burns chest deflects the ball to their forward taking Dorsett out the game, when it's never getting there otherwise.
Jacob can't stay goal side and win the ball
Pereira has no chance.

You wanted us to be relegated a few years ago as you thought it'd be good for the club so you have absolutely no right to moan :|

I think he goes down too easy, but there's no attempt on the ball and a challenge in the back. Not our day

No dressing it up. Really disappointing result. And still yet to deliver a truly convincing performance, even if we have decent spells most games.

Oh well. A tale of two moments really. One goal completely against the run of play that's a catalogue of errors and a missed open goal. Either of those slightly different and we probably win that. Salvaged the draw at least. Really need those defenders back, and to see more from the wide players and AMs.

very poor. We aren't a good side, slow, ponderous and lacking any strategy.

I'm surprised Jimmy wasn’t supporting Mansfield given they're Lee Anderson and Reform country.

Hunt really doesn't rate Elliot does he?
I would have thought he would come on for Doyle who is yet another player who flatters to deceive.

Fair play to Marriott-at least we now have 2 options for scoring goals, him and Wing.
So in the league that is 2 wins from 10 which the new owners surely weren't expecting.

Extended-Phenotype Lane is garbage.

He's done nothing today. I have no idea why he's suddenly out on the left.

Because Hunt is clueless

Maybe the atrocious performances of Wing and Savage made him look better than he was but Doyle was decent today imo. Carried the ball well, just needs to release it a bit quicker at times.

Absolutely hating the football this season.
Recruitment imho has been very poor.
Better off bedding in more adacamy players and cutting our losses with the dross that is Paddy Lame , MoM and Jacob’s
Surely Ryan, Osho, and the like will grow add more than these mediocre jobbing plodders

I’m not far off this. Every game seems the same and I’m just not enjoying it

Mansfield were the better side for me but the quality of the game was woeful. There’s some good stuff mixed with some awful stuff - Jacob is the perfect image of this entire side

We definitely got better with the subs. But those 3 who came on should be starting ahead of the woeful Lane and Kyeweera and the raw Ahmed

Problem is the front 3 are not good players; or at least well out of form. Marriott is a fantastic finisher but his all round game is div2 level at best. Lane is offering nothing bar comical missed open goals, and Kyeweera offers so little. Scanning through the thread - how is anyone liking his performance today? He did nothing right

The ball just keeps coming back all the time

Doyle did ok but still disappointed. Savage really poor which saddens me a lot.

There’s glimmers of quality but Hunt has to make changes to that starting 11. Bin off Kyeweera, Jacob, Lane, Savage (sadly), Ahmed (for now), Burns

Surprised it was as high as that. The stadium felt so empty.

Can't see attendances rising anytime soon, the football has been so boring and ineffective. Even Dai doing one hasn't brought any fans back.

Hunt needs to get over his dislike of Elliot just because he doesn't run much. He is such a good player to be sat on the bench when we're chasing a win.

Jacob is quite simply the worst footballer I can remember seeing at Reading. His touch, positioning, passing, crossing, tackling is truly abysmal.

Marriott is such a good finisher, reminds me of cureton. Hardly in the game but pops up when a chance presents itself.

We're too easy to create against. 14 shots from Mansfield says it all, we're lucky that shot that hit the under side of the bar didn't go in as we never would have scored two. We struggled to score one...

That Lane miss is quite something. There is often a bobble, bounce or defender obscuring vision in mitigation for these sorts of misses, or maybe the cross is very high pace and hard to control. But there was nothing of this nature. Absolutely inexcusable miss.
