Kane is having an insane start. Awesome for age, and just shows how good he can be when a club plays to his strengthsSanguine wrote:Another brace for Sir Harold of Kane in Pafos last night, he now has 17 goals (and 3 assists) in 9 games this season.
Kane also set a European record last week, he reached 100 goals for Bayern in his 104th game for the club, beating the record of 105 set by Erling Haaland (City) and Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid).

Seems to happen loads in Italy where teams go bust and go to the bottomWinston Biscuit wrote:Great start for Modena in Serie B. having gone bankrupt 8 years ago, they were re-founded as a new club and started in Serie D for the 18-19 season. Now sitting top of Serie B
Avellino may be one to look out for this season. up in Serie A in the 1980's they then dropped down to Serie D and went bust. Won Serie C last season and look to have had a good start this season.

I think it happens more as the Italian league is quite pragmatic about where the new club goes i.e. not right to the bottom. Serie D is an equivalent level to the National League - although it has 9 divisions - the 9 champions are all promoted (or have the right to be.)Double C wrote:Seems to happen loads in Italy where teams go bust and go to the bottomWinston Biscuit wrote:Great start for Modena in Serie B. having gone bankrupt 8 years ago, they were re-founded as a new club and started in Serie D for the 18-19 season. tonight may well be the night!Winston Biscuit wrote:Mjallby now 2 points away from winning the Swedish league for the first time ever.
They've spent almost all their existence in the lower divisions and are from a 'remote fishing village with a population of 850 people'
Proper underdog 'stuff of miracles' type story. Very little money spent at all. Just good coaching and a real community spirit.
