Crowbar6753 Really surprised Rhino didn't get some game time, if you're on the bench then you must be fit enough to play? Would have thought with 30 mins to go and with us struggling to get anything going that would be an ideal time for him to sit deep and break up play allowing Wing and Savage to get forward.
Would also have been nice for him to receive a warm welcome back in front of a decent crowd. My only gripe about todays game other than the obvious striking deficiencies was the slow labored build up play and the constant lateral and backward passing!! mostly by Wing.

Rino's not really the player you throw on to help get a goal, he's someone you go to for holding on to a lead.

Is it weird that I can see why the handball wasn't given? Didn't look deliberate and the arm looks in a natural position. Think most refs would give that as a penalty but I can see by the definition of the law, it wouldn't be a foul for handball?

The other one however...

Interesting reading, I didn’t get to see any of it as I was at work.

Overall, a good point against a team much higher in the table than us and one who had not conceded in a while, good to be two games unbeaten in the league under LEAM.

I think a lot of the mixed reviews comes down to those who were pro Hunt / Happy to see a change.

We desperately need someone up front to put the ball in the net regularly, hopefully in January

Yes absolutely

Do think a bit of context is needed. We’re still only a couple of points above the relegation zone and Rotherham the form team in the div

We weren’t great by any means but still made all the running and limited them to virtually nothing

We’re a way off being a good side yet due to some dodgy recruitment among other things but things are coming together I think

Clyde1998
Royals and Racers 15,279 there today

Not surprised by that figure, although would say that's probably inline with a typical grassroots match - so I don't think the fireworks added much to the gate.

407 away fans - fair play to them.

There were far more kids there than usual, and I'm sure the fireworks were a big factor in that. Without fireworks, on a rainy day and an opposition that won't bring the fans in, I doubt we break 13000.

I just don’t think Doyle is working for us

Still would rather see him playing cdm and Wing and Savage further forward where they can cause damage

Just seen, we`re the only team in L1 without an away win, that has to change soon if we want to start climbing the table.

Not exactly very informative as a comment goes, leon. Whatever it's supposed to mean, it's one game.

I agree with this, nothing seems to stick to him and he always seems to be a step behind every through ball.

I also think D Williams’ forward passing is a bit suspect. On several occasions he fired hard passes into the midfield which have too much on them and the likes of Doyle can’t control to do anything with them.

You won’t any longer because the new manager is refusing to update on injured players. Hopefully we still might find out through other ‘ sources ‘

Just seen on the Rotherham fans forum a guy lauding the referees performance, dont think they were being ironic either! Amazing what you can see when the decisions go your way.

Ref didn’t just tolerate their shit housing and time-wasting; he practically ran a workshop on it. He wandered around like a substitute PE teacher who wants to get their own back on the kids.
The two stonewall penalties?
Oh, he saw them. He just clearly decided today was his big artistic performance and reality wasn’t going to get in the way of his creative vision.
Then, the final insult:
Five minutes added on in the whole match.
I think he was desperate to watch the fireworks
After a game that stopped more often than a cheap Wi-Fi connection.
