West Ham have a recent history of not being able to get the best out of strikers who are clearly good players, e.g. Haller etc.iSanguine wrote:Niclas Fullkrug had a good record in the Bundesliga and an excellent one for Germany. Useless and/or injured at West Ham, with just three goals in 29 appearances. He's joined Milan on loan, weirdly.

surprised he wants to go there tbh. he has played every game for AM this season, and there surely must be other clubs in for him. Who's career is boosted by joining Spurs? (genuine question)genome wrote:Gallagher to Spurs, £34m
Not a bad price that for an English player with plenty of prem experience

+1 Fcuk all for a decent English midfielder with prem experience. Especially as a Jan purchase to help achieve whatever goals the team hasgenome wrote:Gallagher to Spurs, £34m

With Ake going to Palace?Winston Biscuit wrote:Being suggested that Marc Guehi is close to joining Man City

I'm amazed to be honest that Liverpool have 'let' this transfer happen. How were they not all over Guehi to make sure he moved to them?Winston Biscuit wrote:Being suggested that Marc Guehi is close to joining Man City

Maybe they had second thoughts with his (and Palace's) form tailing off a bit of late.Sanguine wrote:I'm amazed to be honest that Liverpool have 'let' this transfer happen. I guess you are addressing sanguine and not me.6ft Kerplunk wrote:Pull the LFC scarf down from covering your eyes for a second or two and look at the league table. City gives him pretty much guaranteed* Champions League football next season, Liverpool are in a fight for the last spot.![]()
But honestly at the moment City would look the more appealing option.

Liverpool are weird, their transfer policy makes no sense. A ton of support from FSG in the summer but not in the area they desperately needed cover until the last day - not their fault that Palace then behaved like an arse at the last minute of course but why the **** would you leave it until the last hour or two!6ft Kerplunk wrote:Pull the LFC scarf down from covering your eyes for a second or two and look at the league table. Stones is permanently crocked, he'll be allowed to leave soon and its not like he's a first choice pick if everyone is fit these days. Dias seems to be injured a lot too these days. Gvardiol out long term. Guehi clearly better than the others. Given he can be picked up relatively cheap in this window and it prevents rivals from strengthening its a perfect signing for Man City.South Coast Royal wrote:At the moment City have centre-backs in Dias, Gvardiol, Khusanov, Ake, Alleyn and Stones with Akanji out on loan although Pep often plays Gvardiol at left-back.
So I guess he would only want Guehi if he lets Stones and/or Ake leave.

That is assuming that Liverpool actually made an offer this time.6ft Kerplunk wrote:Stones is permanently crocked, he'll be allowed to leave soon and its not like he's a first choice pick if everyone is fit these days. Having been pissed around in the summer I can't say I'd blame Guehi for preferring City over Liverpool. Its not like Slot and his team appear to be improving any defenders they sign.

No guarantee of CL, and the possibility of Slot being sacked prolly don't helpSanguine wrote:I'm amazed to be honest that Liverpool have 'let' this transfer happen. 'I've moved to the best club in the country'. Or words to that effect.BRO_BOT wrote:No guarantee of CL, and the possibility of Slot being sacked prolly don't helpSanguine wrote:I'm amazed to be honest that Liverpool have 'let' this transfer happen.
