Live on Chelsea FC You tube channel.
Reading 0 Chelsea 1 15 mins
H-T 0-1
Since Reading U 21’s lost to Leeds and which was covered in full by RFC on X the team has played 3 matches - Blackburn at Home( at Aldershot) and Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest away and not a mention in any preview, line-ups, updates and report.
No mention from the club on today’s stream.
I find it disrespectful to the Academy, players and staff that the coverage of our CAT 1 Academy is pathetic.

Royals down to 10 Irish sent off 63 mins
1-1 cracking goal 68 mins Adjei
1-2 71 mins Pen
1-3 75 mins
F-T 1-3
I thought Royals played well against the league leaders and were in the match until the sending off.

The Cube
Clyde1998 Good result.

Agree Patton needs to go out on loan, unless there's some chance he could be involved in the first team at some point (which seems unlikely at this stage).

Worth noting most of the side that started are still teenagers - think only Stickland (22) and Spencer (22) aren't.

Spencer is 20.

Is he? The club's academy graduates page lists his date of birth as "9th November 2003": https://www.readingfc.co.uk/academy/gra ... hayspencer

Obviously, I am right and the club website is wrong (as are places like Transfermarkt and Flashscore).

As proof he played for the Under-18s less than 2 years ago, so cannot be 22 now.

That bastion of accuracy & truth, Wikipedia, says he was born on 13th October 2005, so Shay Morales Spencer is 20.

He’s ooc in the summer.

Good move this, its nice some of the U21's are getting loans now.

Think Camara needs to go out too.

In goal tonight for Burnley was Charlie Casper son of Chris Casper, who played for the Royals in 1998-2000.

That's a great move for him. Hopefully he can get a few goals there and look to be closer to the first team next season.

Great result, especially with Evans getting a couple - putting a bit of a run together now.

Disappointing to see Ahmed's gone off injured though.

Only downer really is that Burnley are 27th!

Brighton currently in 16th, 4 points better off (16) from the same number of games (12)

If Reading finished 17-24 though doesn’t that just mean that they’ll get a play off game to determine whether they’ll join those finishing 1-16?

11th placed Stoke City at Bearwood on Wednesday (4 Feb, noon) next.
