Dreadful performance, although I did appreciate they're commitment to the traditional standards of football by actively trying not to score from corners

Wasn't it an easy header from a corner for Jones but he decided to try and chest the ball in?.
The trouble is he hasn't got much of a chest (or heart come to that).
I may be doing him a disservice for that miss as I only saw it live but I did see him play the ball too quickly to Ali that led to their first goal.

Obviously it was not just his fault that Liverpool lost but the wrong things seem to happen when he is on the pitch.

I think Gakpo's foot hits the ball, and not Curtis Jones. I initially thought it was an amazing piece of last-ditch defending

Yeah, just checked. Jones would've scored it if not for Gakpo

I’m not particularly anti-Liverpool, but surely the whole country enjoyed that result.

I'll quite happily hate-watch the last ten mins of any LFC defeat/draw.

Not going to mention van Dijk getting out strengthed so easily for the Wolves goal? He's on the pitch an awful lot when shit central defending costs them a goal.

Yeah, poor defending between Van Dijk and Konate going for the same ball but they had generally done their main job well enough in restricting Wolves to a couple of shots, one of which took a deflection of Gomez to beat the keeper.

Van Dijk has played every minute of every Premier League game this season which is quite something at his age-he may no longer be the best centre-back in English football but I wouldn't swap him for anyone else.

Incidentally I agree with Lux that this is the sort of result that football fans love although obviously not as much as Man Utd losing to lowly Grimsby or Macclesfield beating Palace, the FA Cup holders.

Some big games tonight featuring the clubs around the top 6 places and I wonder what pressure Eddie will be under if they lose yet another home game.

I had a horrible feeling that Spurs might get something out of the game yesterday after all the talk of a dreadful managerial appointment by Spurs, loads of injuries.,they never get anything at Anfield etc. but of course that horrible piece of work Richarlison was selected.

It looks to be a very interesting end to the season with Man Utd., Villa, Liverpool , Chelsea and Brentford all fighting for those 3rd, 4th and 5th positions.

It is the time of year for unexpected results such as City at West Ham, Chelsea at home to poor travellers Newcastle and now Liverpool against a Spurs team that looked to be in freefall.

These contenders have games against each other to come and if Brentford play as well as they can they could well end up with a Champions League place which would be quite something.
Man Utd is the only contender in good form but have a tricky fixture away at Bournemouth this Friday followed by games against bitter rivals Leeds and Chelsea and then the unassuming Brentford and then the currently out of form Liverpool.

Villa have what looks to be the easiest run-in but end up playing Liverpool and City as their last two games.
They have certainly missed John McGinn.

South Coast Royal . but of course that horrible piece of work Richarlison was selected.

From wikipedia "Richarlison donates 10% of his salary to the Instituto Padre Roberto Lettieri, a home for cancer patients in Barretos, São Paulo state, and also supports 100 families in his hometown.[90] In November 2021, he called for his fellow professional footballers to take COVID-19 vaccines and ignore misinformation on the topic, citing the death of his first coach Sebastião José da Silva.[91] Though he did not endorse any candidate or party in the 2022 Brazilian general election,[92] he spoke out on social justice issues such as the environment, police violence and human rights."

coupled with what orion said about his anti Bolsonaro stance in the Brazil team and despite everything I like the guy!!

Liverpool are awful under the Stam clone, been abysmal for over a year, yet the mystery is how loSt is still hanging on there.

As you well know, Liverpool is not a hire and fire club like some others.

If they don't win the FA Cup or fail to qualify for the Champs League next season I could see it happening with the obvious replacement being Xabii Alonso but there are still games to be played and hopefully he can get them playing at a level better than it has been for a lot of this season.

Like a lot of African and South American players they remember their roots.
Another player unpopular with many fans here, Luis Suarez, is another one.
