She seems to make a living out of court cases.
IIRC she made £100,000 or so after she was dropped from the England team and successfully accused the manager of racism..
A law degree helps.

I think she was dropped by ITV as a pundit but , when interviewed on the radio, thought that her track record as an international footballer warranted her keeping that job and found it hard to accept that she was not actually a very good pundit.

I guess Barton expressed his views in an unbecoming manner as is his wont and he will now be paying for it.

Word doing the rounds up here is that the victim, who is a well known and fairly notable figure on the local non league football scene was deliberately pushing Barton's buttons.

If true, and I'm not in any way defending that violent cretin Barton's actions, winding up a notoriously short fused sociopath on the day he's been forced to hand over £330k to one of his bete noirs, isn't the smartest move IMO.

Barton absolutely deserves everything coming to him though, which hopefully given he's been denied bail, is a lengthy custodial sentence.
