Silver Fox Greater Manchester's Chris Kavanagh doing his thing again

8) Peter Bankes might be on crack!

Sends Ramsey off for soft AF second yellow.

If only more refs would do it even if it is against Man Utd.
Still, they took pity on 10 men Newcastle and let them win which was very noble and may have kept Eddie in a job for a bit longer.

Pleased to see Hollywood FC lose this evening, especially the VAR decision, the love in for the team is too much.

TalkSPORT at one point this evening said it would be one if the biggest FA cup shocks if Wrexham had won

One of those games where you wanted both teams to lose.

But would not beaten the shock of Wrexham 2-1 Arsenal

Two late goals dumping the Londoners out of the cup in 1992.

I'm not one of those that want to see Wrexham do badly especially with Parky as manager who the owners have stood by all through this rise.
I watched some of that game and some of the Mansfield game and in both cases it was just the better finishing of top level players that made the difference.

On a long day of watching from the sofa it finished with Man City fielding half of their first team but still being good enough to beat Newcastle at their fortress ( :D not so much of late where the away teams have been scoring at will) once the game settled down and might well have won by 6 or 7 .

Lol@ TNT commentators once again-lauding Lewis Hall as a likely England player for the World Cup only to then see him rinsed by Savinho who ended up as Man of the Match.

Would prefer all the teams challenging for CL qualifying spots to do well in the cup comps (but not win them obvs)

And once again Arsenal and Chelsea get the **** easy ties in the cup. Semi finalists will be

Arsenal
Chelsea
City
Leeds United

A Chelsea v Leeds final would be good but wouldn’t be half as entertaining as 1970.

Once it is down to the routine Prem teams, all of my interest evaporates.

C’mon Vale, failing that, Brentford I guess.

2nd hardest - Chelsea
3rd hardest - West Ham

I also asked AI if we would get promoted this season and it said keeping key player Sam Smith fit would be important

yeah, Oxfords 3 wins in a row and Leicester being docked points has made it very exciting down there!

Blackburn Vs Leicester and Sheffield Wednesday vs West Brom both on the final day have a high xF (expected fun) rating on the Winstometer

I would not be surprised at all to see SW get something against them and take WB down with them

Sheffield Wednesday 31 games without a win, Watford denied them that on Tuesday with a last minute equaliser, surely must be close to an EFL 2nd tier record.

I think the longest winless streaks in the top 4 tiers is 36 held by Derby County in 2007-2008, that ran across their last time in the PL and into the Championship the next season.

Macclesfield Town also went 36 games between winning FL games but that was across 2012-2013 and then again at the start of 2018-2019 after they’d won promotion back to the FL.

Derby was 32 games without a win in their PL campaign then another 4 in the second tier the next season, therefore Wednesday do seem to now be the proud owner of a new FL record for a single season and are 6 games away from making it a new undisputed record across what was the proper Football League divisions.

Not only that but Wednesday are not far off becoming the first team to not win a home game in completing a FL season.

They will also be relegated with the lowest ever points total for the second tier (currently 23 points recorded by Rotherham in 2016-17) and the lowest ever in the FL (currently the 17 points notched by Stoke in Division One in 1984-85). Also most likely they’ll be the first team to also finish a season on negative points.

All that on top of the earliest confirmed relegation in the FL.

In terms of lowest points tally ever, worth noting that even without the deduction they currently have 12 points - so need 6 points from the last 9 to beat the lowest ever or need to double their tally to beat the 2nd tier "record".

Admittedly given there is still a real chance that they may not even start next season, I doubt these records are a major concern of theirs.
