"Nick Blackman did well when he came on Mick."
Yeah, I think Adkins just wanted to use his strength at the end and he did well"

I think he's a terrible buy and shouldn't be near our first team when everyone's fit. But he's not the park player some of you seem to think he is.

McCarthy rated 9.2/10 on whoscored.com.

It is kind of worrying that the token phrase is now "3 points is all that counts". BBCRB also seem to have adopted this mantra since their telling off.

I really want to be entertained soon....

Really hope we click in the new year as I'm struggling to give a toss so far this season.

He's got potential, but he'll be an out-and-out striker. He scored a fair few for SheffU but the majority were penalties. Interestingly, their fans seem to think he's on his way back in Jan. I'd take that, but we'd need another striker coming in as well as Sharp being made perm, which I hope is the case.

Hope for improved performances. But in the meantime, if we can keep picking up the points whilst in an injury crisis and not playing well. That's excellent.

Maybe we'll not click at all. But if we do click, we should start flying and are very well placed.

Good win. BBC stats show only 44% possession - I guess you don;t always need 60% possession to win a game. Sounded like we were well organised for the last 20 minutes.

Will Guthrie get back in the team next week? Probably

Need to follow up with win next week.

Interesting Wigan play twice (Sat and Wed) before the game so no excuses

Winning when not playing well is er.... the mark of a side that will inevitably go on to lose the play-off final to Leeds.

There is no point trying to fight your destiny.

Which is strange seeing as under Brian everyone was wanking themselves silly over the "Win Next Game" mantra.........

I don't think we have got an injury crisis. I suspect every other team in the division has 2-3 good players out too. The points are very welcome but I really don't know how we've managed to get them!

I am stunned we're 5th - I'm sorry but this division is p1ss poor this season.

Cureton's Volley Well done lads. Very lucky at times but over the moon with that result.

The quality of McCarthy + Pog stands out again, but the back 4 deserve credit this week too.

Keep 4-4-2 vs Wigan pls

It wasn't 442. It was a diamond. Williams sitting , Drenthe behind Sharp & Pog.

Just got back from a game. Absolutely pathetic display. First game I've ever left early.
They couldn't keep the ball for more than 5 seconds. The manager's likely to be on his way out.

Reading result cheered me up though.

Colchester United 0 - Notts County 4.
And Notts County started the game bottom of the league!

86th minute and the 3rd goal goes in, my mate says to me "P!ssed Off I'm cold, let's go?".
"No, I've never left a game early!"
89th minute, and we conceded anther horrendous goal. "Right we're off".

Agreed although in todays performance could be argued to be 4-1-2-1-2
