MmmMonsterMunch I really fear for Adkins now being brutally honest. Don't want him out though.

If we go on to lose the next 2-3 games, he is skating on thin fcuking ice.

the chairman can`t sack him, only the owner, and he has disappeared

RoyalBlue Our real problem is lack of any movement, let alone imaginative/creative movement, off the ball. Nowhere is this more obvious than at throw ins, freekicks and corners.

I'm trying to take the emotion out of it but that team needs major surgery IMO for Adkins to have a future here. Question is, will they let him do it? I said on another thread - our players are sh1t on the ball & even SAF wouldn't change that fact. January will be interesting...

MeMeMe 11 shots to our measly 2... and only one of ours on target

Sad thing is that now we've had our shot on target the game is well and truly over.

This truly is the worst period of watching Reading play football since Bullivant, at least under Brian last year one game in three had some passion in the side.

Another heap of crap like this on Wednesday and Adkins will start losing the fans big time.

Lose today and Forest is must win imo.

Agree tbh. Rapidly losing the fans' backing and unless there's significant investment even I'm struggling to see much prospect for progress under him.

But they're superb in training according to NA so I'm guessing the players are all playing the way they've been coached. We've got decent enough players, decent enough to get a result today but something's not right. We've been crap for 45 minutes and I'm guessing we'll come out and have an excellent second half but still come away with nothing. This is now becoming a worry.

We're really missing Karacan.

The best thing we had going for us last few seasons was grit and passion. Legs/Karacan/Morrison/Hunt even Tabb have left a big hole in the team.

Yes, I was thinking earlier that we actually miss N. Hunt

I remember that QPR away game when we the fans really turned.
With Brighton and Watford away coming up I can see a repeat unless things dramatically change in the next 45 and the Forest game.

I don't mind if they try and lose but losing without a fight is unacceptable

Gylfi will struggle to get into this side.

He'll have to work hard for his place in January.

More in hope than anything else but I really hope the board back Adkins in Jan & allow him to build a squad that can compete for next season.

Anything can happen but surely we have no hope of play-offs with the current squad?

It makes absolute sense for them to write this season off & give him some cash to see what he can do.
