Know the feeling; endless chances for the “failures” to qualify (eg. Nations LeagueFrom Despair To Where? wrote:Can we now assume that Infantino is another person Trump has given a blow job to?
Can't help but feel that, with 48 teams and an endlessly convoluted qualifying process that also pretty much guarantees qualification for many before a ball is even kicked, the World Cup is now in its Jumping the Shark phase.
Not to state the bleeding obvious but it's FIFA money grab. The World Cup used to be sacrosanct but I honestly don't think I can be bothered with it anymore.

At least they've done four team groups, as opposed to the original three with the top two qualifying for the knockouts.windermereROYAL wrote:48 teams, so many of those group games are going to be pointless.

England will play Croatia in Dallas (9pm UK time) before facing Ghana in Boston (9pm) and Panama in New York-New Jersey (10pm)Sutekh wrote:Is it known what the venues are for England and Scotland’s games yet?
Rather England started in Toronto than the awful heat of Dallas but suspect the bigger game of the two openers in England’s group will go to the bigger stadium in the US.

Thanks. Shame they’re not based in one location as the top seed but I suppose it could be worse.Vision wrote:I think Scotland play Haiti and Morocco in Boston and Brazil in Miami.Sutekh wrote:Is it known what the venues are for England and Scotland’s games yet?
