Reading's activity in the transfer market, as they continue to strenghten ready for life in the Premier League, saw another impressive signing today. The Royals snapped up Adrian Mariappa from Watford on a three year contract. The signing was expected some time ago but was eventually confirmed today as the deal was completed for the central defender. Mariappa has spent his entire career with the Hornets, making well over 200 starts after turning professional in 2005, with four league goals to his name. Last season he was a key part of the side making 42 appearances.
