Reading have been drawn away at fellow Premier League side Queens Park Rangers in the third round of the League Cup. While Reading defeated Peterborough United 3-2 to move into the next round, QPR were 3-0 home winners over Walsall. QPR's other home game this term saw them suffer a 0-5 thrashing on the opening day of the season against Swansea City. That might give Reading some hope, but the Royals haven't had much luck at QPR recently - the last two league fixtures have been solid defeats for the Royals. The game will take place on Wednesday 26 September.
