Royals Get National League North Kidderminster

06 December 2021
By Hob Nob Anyone?

Reading have been drawn away at National League North side Kidderminster Harriers in the third round of the FA Cup. The game at Aggborough Stadium will be played the weekend of 8th January 2022, to be confirmed subject to possible TV coverage of the game. Kidderminster, currently fifth in National League North, will fancy their chances of an upset against a team four divisions higher than them in front of a capacity home crowd.

In qualifying Kidderminster progressed with a 1-0 away victory at Bedfont Sports before home wins against Grimsby and Halifax in the first and second rounds. Kidderminster are in an excellent run of form since their last league defeat back on 9th October with 8 wins and a draw in the League and FA Cup since.

It`s coming up to that time of the year again, Monday evening. with no crowds I`m not fussed, lets get a big team , get dumped out and concentrate on the league, it`s been a while since we could say that.

With our small squad and lack of depth 100% agree. Get a City or someone and play the u23s.

Yep would also prefer a team from the prem, champ or the leagues below. With the fixture congestion as it is going out early would be no bad thing. Would also prefer a home or an away game too. I assume clubs will have fans back by then so should make a difference if so.

Nah.
Let's get a good draw and see the likes of Southwood, Holmes, McIntyre, Tetek, Bristow, Semedo, Puscas,Baldock et al get some starts, alongside a blend of first team experience.
Plus with a bit of luck we'll soon have Yiadom, Araruna, Holmes and Esteves competing for one RB position.

Remember, no replays this year so fixture congestion less of an issue.
3rd round defeat would allow for more rest of course.

in my view the cup helped kill our season last year as we built up some momentum over Christmas and then had all the replays and also the Forest game re-arranged
No worries by me if we go out early as we've still a number of mid week league games as still after Christmas

Looking at the Marine stadium you'll just need to turn up outside with a step ladder and you'll see over the wall.

They'll keep an eye on your car too for a tenner. Went to Goodison Park in 2013 and the street kids provided a great service.
